Burt's Planner board Mast

Does anyone use the Burt's planner board mast ? And what do you think of it for a new guy who has never used one ?

I would recommend the Big Jon plainer mast. It is taller and looks great. I can't really speak for the Berts mast but I'm pleased with my Big Jon mast.

Been using a Bert's mast for 4 years no problems. Actually I bought the shorty mast to start with (bad idea on my part) and then bought an extension. I was pretty concerned about the two piece mast but I have never had an issue with it ... knock on wood!

I bought the berts mast 3 years ago. Never had any problems with it till this year. I made some bigger planer boards and they have quite a bit of pull. The berts reels are 3 pc. screwed together jobs. Split them right at the seams.........Put big jon reels on it and they are great.
