FYI some West Marine models have a lifetime warranty. If you watch them closely they go on sale periodically. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. I have two pair of their bino's and have no complaints.

Just for fun, I went right to their website. They have a few pair 40% off right now. I am in no way affilited with WM. Just putting it out there.

There is a kind of marine binoculars that are called "image stabilized binoculars". You zero in on what you want to see and push a button. This neutralizes the boat movement and your target will stay in view in spite of boat movement.
