Well today went better than ten days ago . Last time on the lake I wasted the controlls to the main . today I fished with a friend haven't seen since last fall. Boat controlls work ok and we boated 12 for 16 all lake trout . We ran Seth greens and 2 in line boards one was pulling mono with a keel weight with spoon the other was 300 foot of copper and spoon . The copper was the go to rod Seth green caught 1 fish a pice rest was copper rod . I ran down the fish hawk TD top was 57 degrees. down 70 was 44 degrees. That is were the marks are also did see some quality marks 10 to 20 down. It's definitely slower fishing than it was . To much rain probably. Going to get ready to fish canandaigua lake hang out with some friends and donate to camp good days next weekend . I say donate cause I'm sure sk8man will come up with a 20 lb brown to win .

Good going Brian As far as the Canandaigua derby goes Just knowing guys like you and Fishstix are fishing it gives me great cause for concern At this point in life I fully understand  that big one is sitting out there with someone's name on it without any "guarantee" Best of luck bud.

Sk8opedia It will be our first time fishing this derby. Fished Canandaigua Lake many years ago. On the south end ,we fished for rainbows.Its about a 2 hour trip for us so We will probably only do one day Sat or Sun which ever day the weather looks the best.My fishing partner just turned 77 this week so I cant push him to hard.I will try not to rock your boat to hard when we head to the weigh station.
