Focused my program on 80-140’. A few marks showed up throughout the morning in two particular spots. Managed a small king on a rigger and a laker on my dipsy. 23 boats were spread far and wide.

Fished same area from 830 to 11. Marked no bait and saw very few marks.

I fished the same area 7am till 11. Went 1-5 with small king. Had one break the line on fly off spin doctor. Others were releases on spoons but nobody home.

And what kind of line was the fly leader ?

What ever line come with fly out of the box. I am not gonna bash a brand since I have had good luck with this brand. I am sure it had to be my knot since it was brand new.

Probably was 50# flourocarbon of some kind .

Out of Sandy, same story. 3 for 8 with one medium king and two skippys. They'll be back.

I have zero issues with fluorocarbon.
Seagar Red 20 lb leaders on spoon rods. 50 lb from dipsy to Spin Drs.
No issues at all.

Fished this evening out there from 6-8 went 3 for 4. Nice 15lb king a 15lb laker and another 12lb king. All released to fight another day. All fish caught on veggie spoon 120fow down 85. My 8 year old son lost the 4th one. He wanted to do it all on his own. Did great but horse him a little too much. Spoon came out about 50 from back of the boat. Didn't see what it was but it looked to b a pike.

Got out for the first time since last August, fished 80-140 fow just east of the bay. Went 8 for 10, 5 kings and 3 lakers. No size to the kings, all under 12 lbs. Great to be out. Beautiful day.
