Andre can this unit be networked with a HDS 9 gen 3 as I would like to add screen as well as Lowrance autopilot control to back of boat and not have to go to cabin to make steering corrections

If you link the GO with a HDS the only way is by NK2000 so you will be able to share waypoints when both unit are ON and also the ap control. The GO and the Gen can control the NAC-1 Navico AP
