I have a 23 foot Searay with a 260 Mercruiser, I was out trolling the other day and the slowest speed I can get is 3.0 mph. Does anyone have any other ideas how I can slow my speed down? I did turn down the idle on the motor but that's as far as it will go.

I use Sea Anchors, they work well tied to forward cleats to keep them out of the way.

Best if you get two different sizes, that way you can use a small bag, the large bag or both if needed.

Good fishing!

I have a 23' Chaparell with the same engine. Had the same issue. Like the others said, the Amish Outfitters beefy bags work great. They are well made and hold up well also.Get one for each side. Depending wind and current sometimes you only need 1. With 2 out again depending on conditions I can get down to 1.7 on the fish hawk. I think I have the 22 inch bags. The 22 or 28 inch should work fine for you. Good luck.

you COULD change your prop to a higher pitch, but you will lose a little bit of low end.  This worked well for us when we had an I/O
