Fish hawk probe, scare fish?

I have a depth raider and get more walleyes on the rigger with the probe, might be that I use my best baits on it.

I have a new unit with side scan but also the transducer has a much wider angle in regular sonar. I haven't been out with it yet.

I use my side imaging more than sonar.  You really need a big screen to get detail from si. The helix g3 is a great unit.

if your 12# to 20# weight doesn't scare the fish off why would adding the probe do it? if you let out the one with the probe it is going to have more blowback than just a weight. the depth finder just read how far from the transducer. if your getting more fish on the non probe rigger let out another 15' on the probe rigger and see if it changes things any.
