I may buy a late model Lund with the Lund Sport Track system. I'm wondering about whether there is a mount for this track system that can handle a downrigger dropped to 70'. I want to fish two downriggers, one on each gunwale. I'd also like to add a rod holder on each gunwale for a dipsey and/or a planer board.

Is the Lund Track system strong enough to structurally support a downrigger with a certain weight ball? With these additional components? Or do I need to add a track to each gunwhale?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks, drynet.

What about riggers? Do you have them and are they mounted on the Lund Sport Track (sp?) system?

Yes, I have run two riggers off a four foot section of track. Give them a call, they were great to deal with. Good luck,  Matt

Have 2 Digi troll 5's mounted in Cisco's on my pro v. Have also run them on lund mounting plates that secure with an Allen screw. Prefer the Cisco. Much easier to position and lock down. Make sure you specify 45 or 90 degree track when ordering.

I use cannon ST5 and run 10# balls with the sport track on my Lund 1800 sport angler boat. Bracket system for the riggers is solid when properly installed.
