I cant speak to sandy but the launch at bald eagle was open on saturday nice launch and has a drop box if you get there early and fishing was fantastic.  we fished the sandy creek shootout from there and had steady action all day long ended with an 81lb box and had or threw back 5 other fish over 15  I have a bruise on my stomach from the rod butt.

its only about 15  mins from sandy..

Stopped today.... the gates were open, and the permanent docks were well under water. The odor is terrible, but the mosquitoes will drive you away before it gets to the point of nausea.

Getting better. Docks are at the water line now and covered in moss.

Used the launch yesterday with my boots and when I came in somebody had wrapped both docks with plastic safety tape and block both off with plastic gating material. Don't know what that's about. Thinking the town is afraid somebody is going fall on the docks and sue?

Launched from Sandy last Sunday. Expect the docks to be very slippery. Expect to get your feet wet getting on the boat.

Took a ride there yesterday with the boat, being by myself, there was no way I was gonna launch. Went to the river instead.
