All - I am looking for solid advice on installing a new lowrance 50/200 kHz xducer on my boat. I have fish hawk ducer (70kHz) on left and hummingbird bird (83/200kHz) ducer on right. Very limited real estate on the transom. I know it is possible to do shoot thru hull, but not sure on the quality I will get? I have read the directions and understand how to install it, just no clear advice on how far apart they need to be and if they all need to be level with each other.

Get some king starboard and you could either mount it inboard of the fish hawk transducer or next to the hb td on the other side. My garmin is inboard but it's running on 200 . Get some king starboard and you could either mount it inboard of the fish hawk transducer or next to the hb td on the other side. My garmin is inboard but it's running on 200 . It is more critical regarding the khz difference than the spacing apart. The one that is now to the outermost of the hull will probably have problems marking when on plane. As long as the transducers have frequency separation there shouldn't be a problem even if they are side by side. I use the same bracket screw (the transducers are side by side) for my Fishhawk (70khz) and Lowrance set to 200 khz without problem. When the transducer is set way to the outside they experience turbulence more readily. You shouldn't have any trouble as long as one unit is run on 200 khz and the other is either 50 or 83 just don't run both at 200 khz.and if it were me I'd move the outside one next to the other closer to the inside to mark better.

My FF xducer is mounted right beside the FH xducer on a piece of white vinyl from Home Depot. Just like this. No problems.

Let me (us) know how the 50/200 works. I have the HDS 7 Gen 3 with 83/200 xducer. I normally run medium chirp. My unit does not have  a LOW chirp selection, just MED and HIGH. It works but I am looking for a wider cone if possible. I don't really need to see a 4 foot diameter and separate fish in close proximity to each other. I am more interested in seeing bait and if there are any fish down there at all. Wider cone if possible. I wish someone would make a probe you lower into the water and it scans a circle like a weather radar, providing a "side view" .
