Heading out of the oak tonight.

I will be heading out with the family this evening hoping to get on some good kings,question is should I look in shallower or head out deep 400-500fow?i won’t be getting on the water until 5:30 tonight going to be a short run but will post a report when I get in.thank you for any advice!
