Maine Sportsman heading to NY

New to the site! Ive been hunting and fishing New England for many years and have yet to visit Lake Ontario. Ive been reading, slowly collecting the gear to make it down. Next summer I plan on bringing my boat down for 4 weeks to fish. It will be a totally new learning experience but I'm ready! 

 

My fishing rig is a Starcraft Islander 2001 5.0V8, 9.9efi Tohatsu Kicker, ControllKing and EzSteer.

Welcome aboard! Please allow me to provide a few recommendations: 1) Book a charter or two 2) watch the weather closely 3) invest in a speed/temp system if you haven’t already (fish hawk, etc).

Why wait Labor day is right around the corner lots of mature kings in close hook that rig up and head up for 3 days . Henderson is a good place to start for staging fish just fish the trench the fleet will show your were the fish are . GOOD LUCK
