So all you pros out there ...with this warm weather coming up do you think it will delay the spawn and the staging up ..

Or is that not a factor?

There are larger factors than the weather.  Primarily: 

1. Genetics

2. Photoperiodism

There are some matures that will start to stage and some matures that will still be in the feed. Fish the marks on the graph and throw temp out the window! It’s mid August!

Gambler, is it time to start putting a J-plug or two out in the marks out of temp??

The start of the " off the mouth " king fishery . 

 

First light / just before dark best . 

 

Start close and work your way out . 

 

Look for fish on the bottom or just off  an hr after first light till an hr before dark . 

 

And I Like J Plugs , an underutilized lure IMO .

Thanks Gambler. Will be out tomorrow and all week out of Oswego. Ill post what we do.
