I recently came upon a set of long arm downriggers. Currently, I have two short arms running off the stern. Whats the best location for the short vs. long? Long off the stern & short off the side, or vice versa? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

I agree with ray k, Makes sense to get the longer booms to the side, It will give you a bigger spread. Just make sure your wire rods can get around the cables when they are in position.

What kind are they? Just make sure you mount them in a postion where you can pivot them around for travel/storage/swinging the ball in to rig up etc.

What do they say again Ray, drill twice before you measure? jk

Heres one side of my rig, the one of the stern is angled out a notch along with an awesome sunset out of Sandy Creek.
