When do lakers spawn in the finger Lakes, particularly Hemlock?

Does anybody have a good sense of when they Spawn? Is there a good pre-Spawn bite? I have heard that they don’t bite well while spawning… Is that correct?

Haven’t really put time in since middle of September but flat fish and gamblers in bright colors work.. I even caught lakers off his walleye rigs with a worm last month on seneca but you gotta go deep 110 +

In the fall but you can catch them all year fishing bottom

Dre I believe it can usually be anywhere between the end of October through early December depending on weather/water conditions. Many of them migrate toward the south ends of the lakes and spawn in pretty deep water and especially where there may gravel beds or rocky areas without silt. Notice I said many. do but not all as some of the Seneca locals can attest to
