On 11/10/1884 A seiche effect brought a wall of water 22 foot high through the streets of Buffalo, NY. 50 residents drowned here and uncounted vessels and mariners were lost on the lake. Just be aware that history repeats itself. What we have now is nothing compared to that event.

November 10, 1975, a deep low pressure system sets off gales on all the Great Lakes and the Edmund Fitzgerald sinks in Lake Superior with all 29 crew members lost.
