i have the same reels. Not yet used. And am new to the large planer boards. What are the eye guide for?

L shaped guide coming out of the clamp? that guides the line on the reel and off the reel in the ideal position.

It will keep the line going on or coming off the reel from a position above the spool rather than pulling off to the side- use them ! they work!
