Sure it can. Just need a portable 12v battery. And a float on the transducer to hold in hole

Garmin sells ice conversion bundles. Ive tried farting around with the boat transducer for ice. Doesnt work well. Definitely need the ice-ducer.

The transducer is larger being a chirp unit.  But does have a flasher/ circle graph page!
