My guess is it becomes political when the discussion of taking away second amendment rights comes out.  Some might argue that the left has and will look for any excuse to diminish or take away those rights.

That makes it political.. Nobody really brought that up.. The only discussion was somebody saying they dont think the punishment of losing gun rights with a felony doesnt fit the crime... Nobody said anything about the politics of it.

Hunting is supposed to control the numbers of deer in the state. Hunters themselves propose regulations that have failed to do this. Automobiles now kill too many deer from privately operated property and suburban homes where shooting is prohibited.

Besides, it is not illegal to throw a bucket of corn in the water and go home.

I think if an Encon Officer observed that action, you could get ticketed.  While a bucket of corn is not a lot, it could " contribute" to a depletion of dissolved oxygen in the water, as it is an organic waste and has a lot of sugar associated with it.

En Con Law:

§ 17-0501. General prohibition against pollution.
    1.  It  shall  be  unlawful for any person, directly or indirectly, to
throw, drain, run or otherwise discharge into  such  waters  organic  or
inorganic  matter  that  shall  cause  or  contribute  to a condition in
contravention of the standards adopted by  the  department  pursuant  to
  section 17-0301.

There is probably a citation in terms of littering as well.
