Okuma Convectors?

Does anyone have experience using the Okuma Convectors?

How do they compare to the older Diawa 47's?

I've got 2 of the CV30DLX's and I've never had a problem with them so far. I've had them for 2 years. Some guys complain that the drags creep under load, but mine haven't. Maybe it was the previous year they had problems with that. Mine are the blue colored ones, the previous ones were black.

Okumas hold up well. They're hard to beat for the money. I fish both Shimano & Okuma reels & both perform well. I like the large power handles on the Okumas'. I had some problems with the Titan Lever drag reels with chatter in the drags , but I lubed the drag washers with (STP) and that fixed them. If you take care of your equiptment it will last for years!
