Meat J Plug

Watched a You Tube video guy on Lake Michigan was using A J Plug with a cavity in the bottom he filled with herring scraps. He called it a Meat J Plug my googling came up dry I need new toys.

This is similar. It is a j plug that holds a meat strip in the back.

Thanks besides calling it a J plug he did call it a Scarface. Anyone on here use them with  success

Thanks for posting that....don't know if the meat helps but I don't suppose it can hurt

They make big Flatfish with small groves on the sides ( Alaskan guides were using triangle files first) so you can wrap a piece of cut bait with thread on  for kings . 

 

Always wanted to try it but never did
