New Ugly Sticks

I have some old Ugly Stick rigger rods maybe 20 or more years old that I really like. I looked at a couple of new ones the other day and didn't know what to make of the guides. Has anyone used them or have any opinions.

I thought the same thing when i first saw them. I’ve been running them for 3 years now without a single problem. I don’t charter but i fish alot. I run them on everything except my divers.

I've been running them with no problems. That said, I'm not really a fan of the new rods. They're a bit more bulky than the older models. Other than that they get the job done.

I got a couple seven-footers light action for the finger lakes couple years back I thought the guides looked a little weird too but I've had no problems with him

I have a couple too and they work all right but are kinda noisey when run with leadcore or copper through them
