Just got a new 3/4 ton van and it needs hitch and wires

I can get them  on line pretty reasonable  .

Anyone out there ever install their own ?

It doesn't look hard.

I haven't done it in few years as all my recent vehicles have come with all of installed already. If I remember right the receiver was only 8 bolts that install in pre drilled holes on the frame. The wiring was very simple too, it was just plug and play. The wires plugged in between the main harness and where the tail lights plugged in. Plug main harness in one end and the tail lights into the other and 2 wires came out in the middle for the trailer plug, do this on each side and you're all set. Pretty straight forward, there's prolly a bunch of videos on YouTube showing how to do it.

if its "new" as in brand new, get what the dealer option is, best fit and function, if old (new to you) just don't buy the cheapest one or you MAY have trouble with things lining up

If the van is "new" then it should be easy. if it is "new to you" the biggest problem may be loosening large rusty bolts and/or getting rusty threads to open.

1/2" diameter bolts that are rusty are sometimes impossible to loosen.
