Tying an e-chip fly

Been thinking of trying flies with e-chips in them. Can't really tell from the G-Fly photos where it is placed. I see Atomik puts it between the two hooks and the beads at the eye of the beak hook.

If you were tying a tournamnet tie fly and putting an e-chip on it - where would you place the e-chip??

Between the beak hook and the treble ahead of the beads?

OR

on the eye of the beak hook covered by the fly?

OR somewhere else?

I have tied several flies with E-chips- but i prefer to buy them. I tie mine between the skirt and beads. I like the tip of the skirt covering the E-chip... Just my 2 cents

On a tourny tie, I prefer to place them above the tandom hook. It allows me to still put my standards bead combo between hooks.

i second that keep the echip above the hooks so the beads aren't affected
