The Great Lakes Angler Salmon School is returning to Rochester, NY March 14 & 15. DAY 1 is Salmon 101. This is a great course for novice anglers or anyone who wants to brush up on the fundamentals of salmon fishing. Day 1 focuses on tackle selection, lure selection, how to deploy presentations (downriggers, copper wire, leadcore, divers, side planers, torpedoes) with a minimal of headaches, boat set up and the ABC's of spring fishing. Day 2 is an advanced, multi-species school. While King salmon will be the prime focus of Day 2, we will also take a seasonal approach as we look at how to locate Kings, Coho & Steelhead; and the seasonal tactics to catch them. Some of the topics covered include all day King tactics, how to interpret currents and their impact on fish, boat control, lure selection, offshore steelhead tactics, Deepwater Kings, coho tactics, how to adjust to weather changes, small boat spreads and more! Cost is $60 and includes lunch, goody bag & raffle. Attend both days for $100!
