3/9 Hughes

Launched at Hughes around 8:00 am and steamed to Bear creek area found some high 39 water and it was game on. Stupid fishing really; 2 man limmy in 30-40 minutes, mostly cookies but a few bigger fish mixed in. The SW wind was working more westerly and the AP struggled with the my small winter boat going into it. Threw a pile of browns back and then called it long before getting real near the plant. Ran 3 different stix in the real skinny water and all but blk/silver took fish with goby pattern ahead of orange by a significant margin- and it was the only stick to take fish on the outside. Great to be back on Ontario n hoping for decent conditions for Friday.

Great to hear Hugh's is open . Fished it last year when Oswego closed . Nice and close to fish .

It’s about time I read a recent topic of someone out there hitting them skinny waters for browns. Been a long winter and thought this day was never  gonna come.  Congrats fellas. Thank you for the report. I really needed to read this.

Nice! Do you have any pics of the hardtop / canvas for your boat, or where you bought it?

 we saw you out there.  that boat must of been getting pushed pretty good with those winds!  But was a good day fishing!

Take any kings yet?Might give it a try tomorrowthinking of putting in my smaller boatfor awhile.

John Mann in Sodus did the Canvas about 9 years ago. It stays up on the boat all the time- I pretty much just use it in the fall/winter/early spring

No kings, looks like Thursday might be the next day to get out for me
