Looking for shore fishing opportunities.

I’m stationed up at fort drum and I’m looking for something to target this spring from shore. Any spots within a hr of Watertown and set up advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Piers from the end of March thru first two weeks of April will have browns and sometimes coho to catch. Ports that have a tributary usually have a pier.

Selkirk state park has a pier....mexico point boat launch has a rock wall....out at the cut near association island in henderson.....off the dock in dexter

Thank you, I’m assuming spoons and cast masters are my best bet? One bright side of this covid19 panic is I might actually get time to fish.

I would head to Dexter. You can shore fish near the town launch. If you're not targeting anything specific, I would drop bits of worm for small sunnys or perch and then toss them deep for Northern. Also Catfish or Musky Creek for Bullhead

Wanakena flow into Cranberry Lake. Go there often in July. Great bass, pike, bullhead, perch, big brim. They have boat and canoe rentals in town.
