Had to find an alternative to the lake since I am watching my 8 yr old granddaughter who is off from school. Decided to kill some time at one of my childhood hangouts, The Seven Tubs area on the east mountain of Wilkes Barre, Pa. This is Laurel Run Creek, a designated wild trout stream and loaded with small native brook trout.

Easily caught half dozen 6 inch brookies quickly. Of course, released all. Gorgeous little fish.20200318_112530.jpeg20200318_121500.jpeg20200318_121346.jpeg20200318_112530(0).jpeg

Thats awesome. I grew up on the suscon mt and spent alot of time at the 7tubs.  Never fished the creek, spent my time drinkin and camping.

Loved catching brookies as a child and young adult who grew up in the Adirondacks.  Remember to handle these fish gently with wet hands so as not to remove any protective slime.
