Otisco isn't much farther and definitely has nice crappie on the pond side and north of the narrows.  Neither section is so big you would struggle to find some action with a little effort.  If you get back to me in May I might have some Intel...

Most popular ones would be Toad Harbor (North Shore), Dollar Hole (paysite: Lakeshore Marina), Charlies Boat Livery (North Shore). Problem is, if they are biting, the word gets out and these spots get crowded.

Thank you.

What about open water suspended crappie.

Would that be in summer ? What are the likely forage fish in the  lake ?Thank you again, I really appreciate your advice....  Ted

I have only fished them from shore, all the spots I listed were for shore fishing. I would guess Big Bay cause Toad Harbor is off it. You definitely could get alot of Bluegill, Sunfish, and perch there if you are looking for good edibles.

Any updates on this. I. Heard crappie can be found at night at toad harbor. But about three weeks ago you could catch plenty during the day. I went to dollar hole around noon yesterday no luck seen  few 4 inch pan fish. And a young man caught a bass look to be over 13 inches
