Fisher or Marten?

Def a fisher-too big and too dark to be a marten. Also the tail on a fisher is wide like the one in the pic.

x2 on Fisher Pine Martens do have a wide variation in color but the size and tail as well as the shape/size of head of Fisher and Marten are quite different. A Marten looks more like a Weasel.

weve had a few Fishers behind my house in Rush area for a couple years now.

There was one right in city in Canandaigua during the Fall. Saw him on way to pick up my son to go fishing in early AM but I got a real good close up look at him as he crossed the street

wow they do seem adaptable. if i place any cam over a carcass they show within a day or so and all winter long out and about. i dont get many daytime pica this was unusual
