Sodus Bay Perch

Has anyone been after perch on Sodus since ice out? Hoping to just get out the house and get some fresh air. I have actually never open water fished it but have a buddy that bought a boat and wants to get out as well. Any information on the bite would be greatly appreciated! Tight lines!

I have not been out but I have heard of a few good catches in the bay.  Traditionally, this is when you should be on Sodus. Targeting shallow areas in 12-14’ should do it for you. Good luck.

Thank you!! Hoping to get out this weekend. Is the fishing typically based on the water temperatures?

The spawn is.  I generally do not do well until the temps hit around 42 deg.  Depends a lot on the lake too.
