Mexico 4/7

Launched out of Mexico at 630. Ran a west troll from 8 - 25', gin clear water and nothing. Ran out to the plant and trolled just outside the buoy line in 40' and picked up 4 browns, each around 10#. All shots came on Chinook Diver/Spoon combos. Best colors were purple spoons with copper backs. 2.2 - 2.5mph. Also picked up a decent Laker on a rigger at 40'.

Great job! I set up just East if you. I didn’t want to troll in on you. Watched you working that water. Picked up one small brown and 3 Cisco. Tough fishing in clear water

Cisco by Oswego is intriguing. That part of the lake is one of the best, and unfortunately last, for Lake Whitefish (yum) but we have not sampled many Cisco there. What kind of sizes were ya getting?

14 to 17 inches. I have gotten 8 of them over the last 3 trips out. I have never caught them before. Fire tiger and a gold stick .

Very cool, heard reports of them in Chaumont too, which is not surprising, cause they spawn there. They are tasty!!

My buddy says they are very good eating. I filleted them out and sent them home with my cousin to try. I don’t eat to much of anything from the lake. I give most everything away if I can’t release it for another day.

14-17” sounds like Maybe a 3 yr old, 2017 Yearclass, interesting. Thanks for sharing!
