83/200 transducer vs 50/200

Looking at the new Lowrance HDS series and they list two dual freq transducer options, 83/200 and 50/200, which would be better for Lake O fishing?

They describe the 83/200 as "for water 900' or less" and the 50/200 for deep water/off shore.

Russ, I have two HDS units on the way, I was told you get a extra wide angle with the 83/200, I am going with the 50/200 just due to the fact I have had great results with the one I have now. I would rather see the fish that are in the area under the boat rather than fish down 100ft and 200 ft to the side.
