Rapala clean up and hardware replacement

I have a few Rapala stick baits that could use a good cleaning and was wondering what everyone uses. Also would like to replace the split rings and hooks with the closest replacements to the originals. I know they use vmc trebles but not certain which ones.

Use light steel wool to buff them up LIghtly if they need it . Then spray with lacquer . They come out great . Good for spoons also . 

 

On the Original straight F series a short shank round hook . 

 

On Jointed , I use an Eagle claw L 374 same size as what came off . 

 

Watch out for the split rings as some can be junk and not hold up . 

 

Be carefully to not get to big as it will ruin the balance of the bait .
