Not to sure on that. Today's Rochester D&C states: "Out: Recreational boats Launches. Sorry boaters NY issued guidelines calling for all recreation boats launches to be close." date of publication 4-19-2020.

D&C is behind the times. There's a new story in today's paper about how they're open. The Syracuse link is based on "outdated" guidance from last Wednesday lol. They are definitely open.

For whatever it’s worth, as of this morning the DEC website has removed the “Temporally Closed” flag on their boat launch web page for all of state launches.

Newspapers are dead.   And have cut staff on weekends well before this virus issue.  Not only was it released as a statement Saturday evening but Gov. Cuomo re-iterated it yesterday along with NJ and PA.
