Runs fine at planing/high speed..  Very strong at high speed actually..Idles poorly, and  sneezes at idle and low speed. I think its a vacuum leak, possibly lower crank seal... Replaced upper crank seal and it seemed to get worse.. Was  a bit rough   and sneezy at low speed but was perfectly usable.. even trolled with it a few weeks ago... Replaced the upper seal, hoping it would help the rough idle,, but its worse... Still strong at cruising speed, but I have had it, done replacing parts and am  simply going  to  replace it...  It needs someone thats better aquainted  with 2 strokes than I am.. Compression is even on both cyls  at about 110 psi,  new water pump, pumps plenty strong, new plugs, new  valve for    prime solenoid,, new fuel pump, solid and quiet  lower unit- oil is clean and has no water in it..
Motor was running pretty good  at low speed a few weeks ago, until I changed the  upper seal, and I should have left it alone. I might have  dinged it when I installed it...Its  a quick easy job actually, but I am   no longer interested... $150 FIRM!  takes it away....  If I get a motor with controls, I will include them, but I may need them, not sure as yet...  Motor can be started and run for the next few days, until I find another motor and remove this one... If nothing else, its a very good parts engine, but as I said, I think its just a seal leaking vacuum, or possibly a leaky reed...  btw, this is an electric start/remote steer motor...bob
