I'll be interested in how you make out with it. I know what you mean about the cranking (usually run three and sometimes four 5 leader rigs):lol:

I hear ya I was running 60 back then  and regretably once hung up two rigs with a total of 30 Sutton 44's on the barge cable:lol: Scary though almost pulled my son overboard had to cut both 60 lb wire lines with cutters and quick.:o

There are many ways of doing it. I started out with a wooden wheel type that the base set on my bench seat but I soon realized that i could get a lot more hardware out using rods and reels and it is easier to use. Over the years I think I have seen or used about every contraption imaginable and despite the unpopular nature of the technique by many folks it is still my favorite way to fish the Finger Lakes.

I got these in a garage sale last year and will never use them. Was told they are Seth Green rigs. Will let them go for cheap if you guys want them. Located in Rochester.
