This is probly like beating a dead horse cause we all know 99.9% the time there wrong and safe to say to expect double what they forcast the waves to be.  I’m courious what sites some of u guys use when checking. Or opinions of where is the best site to look at.  Ive been using Marine.weather.gov and click mexico bay in the map and most of the time I get a bogus forcast Lol.  Also check mexico local weather and even tried using my hunt stand app to get wind and direction. Ultimately I look at the lake before takin the boat from the slip.  Whats another site or two I can look at to get more opinions.

I use weather.com hourly forecast and then real-time buoy data. I am on the west side so I pull from the olcott weather buoy.

Hachimo , for years I also look at Lake erie weather forecast to see what might be coming . Remember lows come in blowing south and highs come in blowing north . I've been guessing the forecast for over 30 years . Pretty important with a 17.5 foot boat !

The reading from Weather Buoys are about a foot short. As the wave passes the buoy the peak does not float the buoy completely giving the false reading transmitted to  the weather agencies.
