Mercury Pro kicker oil change

Doing the first oil change on my new Pro kicker. Do you have to undo the one strap that secures it in place in the upright position. The manual says to tilt it to the one side while it is in the up position to drain the oil. That is not possible with the strap that secures it.

I just did mine and had to undo the strap to drain it.
