Brown trout are available all year. During the warm summer water temperatures find where the thermocline meets the bottom and fish there. Browns are not pelagic suspended fish but bottom oriented. Someone is going to bring in a 36 inch Brown Trout one of these days and those King Salmon specialists will start to change their ways. Remember they do not die after spawning but continue to grow to real old age. In European waters they travel to the sea for forage and return to fresh water streams to reproduce. Bring a Brown Trout close to your boat and the battle starts there.
