New Cannon Mag 10 STX question.

My old Mag 10 just wore out. I'm looking to replace it with a new Mag 10. Does anyone know if the electrical connector and slide on base mount are the same on the new ones? Thanks.

Fishinfreak, I installed the new Mag 10 stx today and the electric plugs were the same as the old style Mag 10.  The old DR manual was late 90s so it's possible the previous owner upgraded the DR and battery wiring before I bought the boat in 2014.  The slide in base is different and the new low swivel base installed in same holes as previous one.  I sure like my Master lock with homemade aluminum T latch I use for the old DR better than the wimpy Cannon lock you buy for $35 for the new style.

It's a good idea to replace those connections every ten years anyway, particularly with the load DR draw. We had a rotten one a couple years ago. It's also a good chance to clean up the wiring and install new fuses....keepin' it tight lol
