Canandaigua Fleas

I read a post on a non finger lakes thread, and it implied that the fleas were already present on Canadaigua. Does anyone have a report on this.

Fleas on Owasco today were thick too... didn't expect them this early.  Seems they come earlier every year.

I was last out on Canandaigua last weekend and the fleas were there for sure. We had a lot of strong wind the past week so it’s possible the lake changed

On Canandaigua this morning, fleas vanished

I believe that the water is too cold for fleas.Could it have cottonwood???

Idk. There is none today but they were caking up my lines good when I was out about a week and a half ago. Surface temp is 64 today
