Well today started out fast! We sat down in 60fow, west of the marina. And did a North West troll. We got all our lines set and spread running nice and made our way past 110fow and 6 color with a Mag Blue Ratchet Jaw fired with a teens king. We then hit a mid teen king around 150. Once we hit 200fow we turned around and started a south troll. Picked up a few small kings and steelies. With the temp being so cold I had a plan to run spoons up high for the first few hours. We gave a tip to a buddy and he called up and said Meat was firing for him down deeper. We added a few meat rigs to the spread and decided we had a good pick of fish but wanted a better class of fish. Pointed it north and got out to 350 and never saw a good screen past 200-220. Turned around and hit another nice king in like 280. We decided to stay in 160-220 and grind for some bigger fish. We kept picking away and mid teens but couldn't get those 20lb+ fish we wanted. Great day of fishing. We fished about half way in the pack. And definitely never found those BIG kings. Lots of laughs and good food. Overall our best producer was a 400copper pulling a Atomik Meat rig. The current got so bad that we had our 400 copper hit bottom in 150fow and it grabbed some zebra mussels and we probably trolled for last 2 hours with a "dead" rig and never got anything bigger.
