Decided to try a technique I saw online for cleaning silverware on NK's. Consists of putting aluminum foil in a glass bowl with baking soda, salt and water. The results were amazing. Looks better than new. The 28 in the picture was a mess to start. I let it stand overnite. You can find that technique online. Keep in mind the NK body must have good contact with the foil.

I have a old Kawasaki motor cycle sitting my shop w chrome wheels, fenders etc that had some rust. My neighbor tells me coke and aluminum foil, fold over foil 3-4 times dip it in the coke (drinking kind) and amazingly easy all the rust comes off with out any scratches to the crime.

I have used a brass case tumbler with walnut shell media.
I would guess at least 80% came out looking new after 2 hours in the tumbler.

I believe if you add peroxide to the concoction, they clean up in ten minutes. Tarnish slides over to aluminum
