1. Tie line directly to the spoon, no ring, or swivel or snap swivel.

2. Attach line to the ring with spoon.

3. Attach line to snap swivel, then snap spoon to swivel.

Which one is best? How do you attach?  Thanks

Number 3. Line to swivel, swivel to spoon. Dreamweaver Competition Swivels, size #2. (Welded ring, ball bearing, stainless steel).

Some spoons seem to not come with a split ring to attach to and instead just have the hole in the metal.  I think that is just a cut-your-line waiting to happen, so I always add a split ring if it doesn't have one already.  I also always have a snap swivel in front.

I typically have use just a duo lock snap but occasionally I will use a ball bearing snap swivel on my rigger rods

#1 #2 will cause big headaches for you , you will get line twist and always do #3 at all times with a top of the line locking swivel... Especially the last option I have lost many fish with non locking swivel....
