Looks like they are saying 1 to 3 feet from Niagara River to Hamlin Beach. This means actual 2 to 6 footers which is probably too rough to fish. But I'm wondering if you think it may be calmer out of Fort Niagara, as opposed to Olcott? Your thoughts are welcomed. Thanks in advance. Trying to get out Sunday if possible.

It depends on how long it stays SW.  SW 10-15 is fishable.  10-15 West is bumpy but sometimes doable.

Thanks, I was wondering about that wind shift. Maybe if the shift to the west occurs later, a morning trip will be ok. If I launch at Fort Niagara I guess if it gets too bad I can go into the river and fish for something. Never fished the river.

Could always fish Cayuga lake if you don’t mind the drive
