I usually fish out of olcott area in july/aug. Once or twice a year if possible. If I have two Dipsey per side with wire, what do you put out to start off with. A mix of meat/spoons and flies. Same scenario with adding two rigger rods and maybe two cheaters. Do you always run a mix of meat, flies and sooons or is one a more preferred method. I understand let the fish tell you what they want but is it best to have a mix.

This time of year to start I put out 3 flasher set ups and 1 spoon .

I run a 2 rigger 2 dipsy set up and target kings .

You will know pretty quick if you are getting marks weather they want the flashers or not .

After about an hr or so if I don't get hit or they just hit the spoon I take one flasher of a rigger and stack 2 spoons 20 ft apart  and set them 10 ft above and 10 ft  below the other rigger with the flasher .

I put my flasher on my probe rigger and keep it at 48 to 50 deg .

But I always leave at least 1 flasher out somewhere.

This has worked well for me .
