New to Lake Ontario

Hey people! I was looking to book a trip with my son to bay bridge in Sodus! I live in Lake George area so I do a lot of lake trout trolling! I’ve been on a charter a couple times on Lake Ontario! I have my own boat now and really wanna try the salmon fishing! Is the fishing worth it at bay bridge? I feel awkward asking but just wanna try to get my son a salmon thanks

If you're coming from lake george, oswego might be a touch closer. Any particular reason you were looking at bay bridge in sodus? What type/size of boat would you be bringing?

That part of the bay itself  is very shallow. you'd have to travel completely across the bay and out the channel to get out to the lake to fish for trout and salmon not a great distance but kind of an inconvenience. That end of the bay is pretty much perch/panfish/pike/bass this time of year.
