I have berts trees that had that problem I sprayed wd-40 down the tube and it helped. easy to lift with one hand now

I think Dave has the right idea Mike from the sound of it. Might have to do it and let it sit for a bit to penetrate fully.

Yea, I hear ya Les, just doesn’t seem like a binding issue, more like the spring that’s used came from Ford F-150 frontend lol.

Just an update: received my rod holders back from Traxstech today. Glad I did. Totally changed the amount of lift needed to swivel them. Must of had the wrong springs in as I don’t think there’s an adjustment from what I found. So from 50lbs of lift to 10lbs I’m happy.

Wow! Good thing you persevered Mike That is an odd one to say the least. They make good products though from everything I've seen and sounds as though they stand behind them too.:smile: On the downside you now have become much more dangerous for the next Seneca Derby and I guess I'll have to up my game. And here I thought after I told Traxtech to install the extra heavy springs I was home free:lol:
