finished the day 8/10. We had 8 in the boat by noon and then had two come unbuttoned within 45 seconds of the hit between noon and 1230 and then never moved a rod and called it at 2. East breeze started to ripple the water at 1130 up until then it was almost slick calm

How do they do that? Come unbuttoned that quick. I have had dipsy bouncing and before I can touch it they are gone?

Not just once, last trip I think one day we were 1 for 8, and it was different rods. Checked hooks, and crazy.

Are you using snubbers? That used to happen to me when I used snubbers on my dipsies.

Yes, snubbers, also on rigger rods.

Are you suggesting not using snubbers?

After getting really frustrated with just grabbing the rod and the fish is gone, I read up on it on here and eliminated the snubbers. I still lose some fish but never have the two rips and gone anymore.
